The Last Sight

Price range: £50.00 through £100.00

A Victorian murder themed effect. A coin is hidden under any photo, the pendulum locates it, and a vintage newspaper cutting names the crime scene.

Deluxe version includes a wooden flap box and an additional photo set for an alternate handling.

Category:

Aged props, quiet pacing, and a clear through-line make this routine feel inevitable. You show three old photographs, speak about two coins found with the victim, and then step back. The participant hides one coin under any photograph while you look away. With the second coin sealed inside a pendulum, they discover where its twin rests. A newspaper clipping confirms the place they chose as the scene of the murder.

Key benefits

  • No forces, no electronics, no pre-show, self-contained

  • The participant makes a free choice, then confirms it with the pendulum

  • Clear structure that builds to a written confirmation

  • Standard or Deluxe staging for close-up and parlour

How it plays

From an aged envelope you tip out two antique coins and three mounted photographs: a train station, an alleyway, and a churchyard. The participant places one coin under any photo while you turn away. You introduce a pendulum that holds the second coin. Guided by the spirit of a murder victim, the pendulum comes to life over one photograph. The coin is found beneath it. Finally, you remove a newspaper clipping that has been in view since the start. It reports a murder at the very location they selected.
