Shipping at a glance

• UK and most countries: free untracked under £100; free tracked at £100+
• USA: add a £10 import-prepay surcharge to any order (see below)
• Optional upgrade for orders under £100: £5 UK or £10 international for tracked service

Services we use

• UK: Royal Mail 1st Class or 1st Class Signed For
• International: Royal Mail International Standard or International Tracked
• Large or heavy international parcels may go by courier when faster or more cost-effective. We usually use UPS, but this can vary by country.

Courier use on large orders

If a courier makes more sense for your order, we will contact you before dispatch. In countries where couriers can cause import issues, we are happy to use an alternative service to help ensure you receive your items. In most cases a courier is quicker and better value for larger shipments.

Customs and import duties

Customers outside the UK may need to pay import duties and taxes when the parcel arrives in your country. These charges are set by local authorities.

USA orders

Royal Mail lets us prepay certain US import fees when we post your parcel. This reduces customs delays and removes surprise bills on delivery. To cover the prepaid duties and the extra handling, a flat £10 surcharge applies to all USA orders. This is separate from postage. Shipping remains free under the rules above; the £10 covers import prepayment and admin only.

Why a surcharge?

Customers in other countries still pay their own import duties when the parcel arrives, and most do not offer a prepay option. Absorbing US import costs while others must pay at the door would be unfair and inconsistent. The £10 keeps the approach even for everyone while letting US customers benefit from quicker, cleaner customs processing.

What to expect

On larger orders the £10 is often less than the duties you would otherwise pay. On smaller orders it can be a little higher or lower because exact fees are only confirmed at posting. We will show the surcharge clearly at checkout.
