The Last Sight
A Victorian murder mystery you can carry in an envelope, or present as a full parlour piece.
Three aged photographs. Two antique coins. One pendulum.
Your participant makes a free choice while you look away, and the pendulum leads them straight to the truth. Then a newspaper clipping brings the whole thing crashing into focus with a written confirmation of the crime scene.
Standard version is compact and perfect for close-up. Deluxe adds a wooden flap box and an alternate handling that feels made for parlour.

The effect
You remove three mounted photographs from an aged envelope. A train station. An alleyway. A churchyard.
Two old coins are introduced, said to have been found with the victim.
You turn away.
The participant hides one coin under any photograph. Any one.
Now the second coin comes into play, sealed inside a pendulum pendant. The participant holds the pendulum over each image, and something strange starts to happen. The pendulum comes to life over one location.
They lift that photograph.
The coin is there.
And just when they think it’s over, you bring out a vintage newspaper clipping that has been in view from the start. It names the location of the murder.
The exact scene they chose.
